Yesterday was our last Nutrition class for this challenge. Thanks, Mindy! Now I just need to go back and reread and remind myself of all the steps I can take to make myself more healthly. I can start by setting new goals and continueing on this journey, I am far from being done. It may have started out as a 100 day challenge but it will continue to be a life long challenge.  Next step new running shoes. Yippee!

So I’ve never been a real fan of running just to run. Put a ball in the mix and I’m all there. Anyway, I always kind of wished I liked running but it has never given me that “runners high” that others seem to experience. I read the book “Born To Run” a while back and loved it (I’d recommend it to anyone). The book made me want to like to run again.  As we are upon our day 75 of the heart challenge I’m still not a huge fan of running but it is getting a little bit easier.  Maybe I am getting closer to liking the running. However, after running with Emily in our workout on wednesday and running last night my quads are not very happy with me. Well, probably ought to go run, after all, people keep telling me it’s good for me. Plus, I want to be able to run the the entire Run for Red 5k.

It’s been a while since I blogged last.  I do enjoy reading other participants blogs as it helps to know I’m not the only one struggling but at the same time seeing some success.  Christy Allfrey, you’ve done this blogging stuff before! 

We are close to being 3/4 of the way done with this challenge and I really need to get crackin’.  I know I should have been crackin’ from day one but I feel like I need to push it and put in more work. Oh procrastination, why do you have to be my one true skill. Nothing makes me more productive than the last minute. In fact I just barely filed my taxes today. Is this why I am a night owl? I’m just trying to get everything done for the day which includes my workouts?  Something to think about and definitely work on.  With my last minute late nights I find I am not getting enough sleep. Sleep is good! I find myself dragging through the day not to mention that I am losing my mind.  Really I can’t remember much these days.  Last week I completely forgot I had our nutrition class on Thursday morning. No, I didn’t knowingly just skip.  What da ya know the class was one I really needed to be at as they went over the importance of sleep.  Sleep is Good! Mindy I enjoy your class and find it helps motivate me and remind me I need to be better.

MARCH MADNESS! I love how NCAA Basketball ends with a bang.  I’ve put in my brackets and so far (probably won’t last long) I’m in the top five of both pools. However, this march has gone mad beyond just basketball.  In the past I’ve taken a sick day to watch the first weekend of the tournament but alas work has gone crazy not to mention other aspects of my life.  What am I talking about, right now I have no life beyond work.  Juggling…I really should have become a juggler.  Can I count that as my workout for the week?  Probably not.  I will however, probably count the basketball game (actually playing-not just watching) tonight as my work out.

Oh, what a week! So things got super busy at work and being asked to put in 12 hr days makes it hard to get in those workouts. Why does does sitting behind a computer all day make one so tired? Thanks, for the training sessions Emily!

It seems like I can exercise until I am blue in the face and it doesn’t have as much of an effect on my weight as what and how much I eat.  That really stinks since I love to eat and I really don’t mind exercising, especially if it’s in the form of a sport.

So an order I made quite awhile ago just came in. Can you guess what it is I ordered? Yep, I just received my Girl Scout Cookies - Thin Mint. YUM!!! Control…I must maintain control.

Seem to have caught a cold. I am not happy about that and it really makes me want to just go home and sleep.  However, Emily has sent a challenge for my workout that I said I would meet and so I shall.  I will will my cold away.
